Hello and welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season! We were happy to have our older son and his wife here for Christmas - we haven't seen them since they got married a year and a half ago. We had a bit of snow the day before Christmas and then the temperatures took a dive. On the night after Christmas, we went to the Morton Arboretum for an exhibit they call "Illumination." They've got a trail around a lake and the trees and prairie are lit up with different kinds of lights. It was so beautiful with the snow on the ground, but boy, was it cold! We managed to get around the exhibit in about an hour and couldn't wait to get home and warm up. My son and DIL live in Washington state, so they're not used to temperatures so cold, but we all layered up and it was actually tolerable.
Today I have a birthday card for our church's children's ministry director.
Here's how I created it:
1. Whisper White Thick Cardstock base cut 4-1/4" x 11", score at 5-1/2"
2. DSP from A Little Foxy Stack (retired) cut 4-1/8" x 5-3/8", attach with SNAIL
3. Whisper White layer cut 4" x 5-1/4", cut circle using Layering Circles Framelits, stamp vine with Calypso Coral
4. Tree from Foxy Friends stamped on Whisper White with Pear Pizzazz, cut with Perfect Pines Framelits (retired), glue onto DSP under circle opening
5. Stamp fox with Pumpkin Pie, legs with Tangerine Tango, and fussy cut
6. Wrap Calypso Coral bakers twine (retired) around top layer and tie in a bow. Attach to card front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. Attach fox with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
8. Stamp sentiment and frame from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Calypso Coral, punch out with Classic Label punch (or fussy cut if you don't have the punch), and attach with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
9. Done!
This card is for the challenge at Just Add Ink. I've used twine and trees.
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
