Card of the Day - Balloon Adventures

Hello and welcome back! Today I have another masculine card for you.

I'm not sure why I decided to go with these old In Colors - Summer Starfruit was never really one of my favorites - but combined with the Gumball Green I like it! This was a pretty quick card to put together. Pretty much everything on this card is retro (retired).

The design was inspired by the sketch challenge at the Paper Players and the tic-tac-toe challenge at Retro Rubber. The stamp set is from 2017 and the cardstock and DSP are from 2012. I chose the left column (masculine, embossing, stripes) and added the green for good measure!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Another Wood Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! Today I have yet another 5th (wood) anniversary card - we went to a lot of weddings 5 years ago!

Once again, I decided to make a pretty simple card and let the wood patterned paper be the star of the show. I added some sparkly ribbon and a vellum die cut, along with the gold-embossed sentiment die cut.

This design was inspired by this week's Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge. I've used the elements from both the center row and center column.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Christmas Peace & Happiness

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is the first of many I'll make this year for Christmas.

The inspiration for this design came from the challenges at As You See It and Just Add Ink.

I used mostly retired products to create this card. I think the only thing that's current is the cardstock!

To recreate the look of the ornaments in the inspiration photo, I die cut a circle from red foil paper and added the overlay, which is die cut from Glossy White Cardstock. I've had that in my stash forever but had never opened the package!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Stars & Stripes Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Here's another birthday card for this month.

Although we've passed Independence Day, the challenge at the Paper Players this week is stars & stripes, so my mind automatically went to a patriotic red, white, and blue theme. I used the retired Irresistibly Yours DSP cut on a diagonal and colored with Blending Brushes and ink. I even managed to find some coordinating ribbon in my large stash!

And I wasn't paying close enough attention when I made my diagonal cuts, so I ended up with a couple of different designs...

Here's the image for the Paper Players challenge.

Card of the Day - Squared Away Birthday

Hello and welcome back! I've got another birthday card for you today.

This was pretty simple to put together. I wanted a DSP layer with some of the Fresh Freesia in it, but didn't have anything. Then I remembered Pattern Party! One side has beautiful colored patterns and the other side is black and white so you can create something to coordinate with any project. I used a Blending Brush and some Fresh Freesia ink to create this coordinating layer.

I love these In Color Jewels - they're so pretty!

This design was inspired by the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew and the color challenge at TGIF Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Medallion Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is inspired by the double challenge this week at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Since the colors are retro (retired), I decided to go retro with everything on the card.

The DSP is from International Bazaar, the Pink Pirouette label was cut with the Deco Labels Framelits and embossed with the Garden Trellis embossing folder, the medallion is from the Make a Medallion stamp set, the sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the bow is Tangerine Tango Baker's Twine! I think the only thing I used on this card that is still current is the Layering Circles Dies (and of course, the Basic White cardstock).

I think I'll be sending this to my sister for her birthday this month - she's turning 60, so a retro card seems perfect!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
