Card of the Day - Tiled Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! Today's card was inspired by a couple of challenges. Here it is:

I love this stamp set. The tiles offer so many opportunities for color combinations. And the fact that they are photopolymer means it's easy to match the patterns!

After stamping the tile panel, I stamped all over it with my Versamark pad and covered it with clear embossing powder. I melted the powder with my heat tool and then added a second coat of Versamark and another layer of embossing powder. Now it is shiny like real tile!

This card was inspired by the color challenge at Just Add Ink, the sketch challenge at Sunday Stamps, and the board at Tic Tac Toe Challenge (I used the bottom row).

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Card of the Day - Dino Tri-fold

Hello and welcome back! A friend at church has a little boy who shares a birthday with my husband, so I decided to make him a card. He will be 4 years old this week, and little guys love dinosaurs, so here's what I made:

I think I used every color of ink that was in the designer paper on the dinos and the sentiments on the back!

I even made a special envelope since this card wouldn't fit into a standard sized one. I decided to hand deliver this card, so I stamped his name too. (You can't see it in this photo, but it's there!)

I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens it.  It was really fun to make!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Card of the Day - Ornate Belated Birthday

Hello and welcome back! I was cleaning out my email inbox today when I realized that I had forgotten a birthday card for the retiring director of our church preschool. So, time to make a card!

This design was inspired by the sketch challenge at SUO Challenges. Sketches are based on the samples on page 94 of the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. Everyone else chose the sketch on the left, so I took the one on the right!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Card of the Day - Lacy Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! I needed to replenish my stash of anniversary cards because I have several coming up, so here's today's card:

This card was inspired by the board at this week's Tic Tac Toe Challenge

I decided to use the bottom row - circle, lace, banner - for my card. The background is a retired stamp called Something Lacy, but I thought it needed a bit more obvious lace, so I added a bit to the bottom of the sentiment banner. The circle is stamped with images from the Gorgeous Posies stamp set.

I'm also entering this card in the challenge at Just Add Ink. My "T" is the lace trim

And the "anything goes" challenge at Retro Rubber. The Something Lacy stamp set is from 2015.

I had a bit of an oops when stamping my envelopes. Note to self - check envelope orientation before stamping! Oh, well. A couple of envelopes will have a flower under the stamp. I didn't want to waste them!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Card of the Day - Clubhouse Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is another one for the guys - masculine cards are tricky for me. I don't make many of them, so it's nice when I can find inspiration in a sketch or color challenge to help me out. Here's today's card:

It's a pretty simple design that uses several retired products.

I was inspired by the sketch challenge at As You See It and the Anything Goes challenge at Stampin' Up Only Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Card of the Day - Sunflower Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for an old friend's wedding anniversary. I had planned to pull something from my stash until I saw her post a picture from her garden this week on Facebook. She's growing sunflowers for the first time and they are huge! So I just knew a sunflower would be perfect for their card. Here it is:

I was never big on coloring before but I just love using Stampin' Blends! Flowers really come to life!

This card was inspired by the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew, the inspiration challenge at TGIFC, and the theme challenge at the Paper Players.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
