Charming Cafe

Hello and welcome back! Today I've got another card that was inspired by multiple challenges.

The challenges I used for inspiration are Double Trouble, Just Add Ink, and Try Stampin on Tuesday.

The TSOT sketch is perfect for this style of card that I have been wanting to make for a while, and the Double Trouble challenge calls for a peek-a-boo card and twine or ribbon. The JAI challenge was fulfilled with the legs on the chairs and table. Check, check, and check!

This card shouldn't have been too difficult, but I didn't plan it out before starting. I scored and glued the spine, then realized I should have waited until after I die cut the aperture for the cafe scene. I pulled the card apart and ran it through the Big Shot, then glued it back together. It doesn't look too bad on the back...

I had also planned to put the sentiment on the bottom, but I centered the stamping instead of moving it closer to the top, so there wasn't enough room. I actually think I like it better this way!

My last problem was the stamping I do on the back of the card. I have a stamp with my personal and copyright info and another stamp with my #imbringingbirthdaysback logo. I usually stamp these before I assemble just in case I make a mistake so I can flip the card or find another way to reuse the pieces. But of course today, I forgot. It was tricky stamping on the back after I added the elements with dimensionals, but it isn't too bad.

I can't believe I've had this set for more than 3 years and had never inked it up! It's really cute.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Blessings of Home Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Today I'm using a preview stamp set from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog for a birthday card.

Last weekend I participated in On Stage @ Home, Stampin' Up!'s virtual convention and as part of a stamping presentation, participants were able to purchase a brand new suite of products. This stamp set and dies were included, along with some DSP, ribbon, and embellishments. Since I'm entering this in a color challenge, I couldn't use the DSP or ribbon, but I've got plenty of others in my stash!

This design was inspired by the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

This is another pretty straightforward card to assemble. The flowers were colored with Stampin' Blends and I added the Silver Epoxy Shapes for some bling.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Biggest Wish Birthday

Hello and welcome back! I'm trying to get caught up on my cards this month, so here's another birthday card.

I used inspiration from the color challenge at The Paper Players and the sketch at Sketch Saturday.

This dotted DSP is white and gray, but has a sheen to it that looks more like silver in the right light. I added the black mat to the stamped piece and the matte black dots to the silver foil strips to get all the colors in the challenge. Using the Stamparatus made it super easy to line up the stamping!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

You Are Amazing

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for birthdays, but you could use it for any occasion.

I pulled out some retired cardstock and DSP for this card, which was inspired by the challenges at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog and Tic Tac Toe Challenges (kraft, free, patterned paper). Unfortunately, I forgot the most important rule at RRCB - use a stamp set more than a year old. Ooops! Oh well, I really like these colors anyway!

The Foil Frenzy Specialty DSP is a great background for the Pierced Blooms flowers. I love the foiled dots on a kraft ground. The sentiment is stamped on some plain kraft paper and die cut with a label from the same die set.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Strong of Heart Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for some anniversaries this month.

The colors were inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink, and the sketch is from TGIF Challenges this week.

This is a pretty straightforward design. The heart was stamped with Versamark on Basic White and embossed with Gold embossing powder before coloring in the flowers and leaves and fussy cutting. The sentiment is from Many Messages and was stamped on a scrap of Basic White, then the single label was die cut with the Messages Die. A bow of gold metallic ribbon was attached to the card front and the label adhered over it with Mini Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Holly Jolly Christmas

Hello and welcome back! I'm still behind on my birthday and anniversary cards this month, but I thought I'd start on some Christmas card ideas.

The color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches this week provided the inspiration for this card.

I used the Christmas Pinecone Dies to cut the pine boughs out of Shaded Spruce and Pear Pizzazz. I added some bits of adhesive sheet to the back of the Pear Pizzazz before cutting it to make it easier to adhere to the other die cut. The DSP was layered onto some Real Red cardstock and the ribbon was attached before adding it to the card front. After I added the sentiment label, I took another bit of ribbon and tied a bow.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
