Paper Hugs!

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for a combo of challenges!

Just Add Ink has a color challenge, The Paper Players has a sketch challenge, and TGIFC has a "no white cardstock" challenge.

Now I know you're looking at this card and saying, "I see white cardstock!" I actually fussy cut a floral motif from a printed black-and-white DSP. The background may be white, but it's not white cardstock, so... 😉

For the color challenge, I used Crumb Cake as the base and added some retired pattern DSP for the colors. I added a little bit of coloring on the floral DSP with a Pacific Point Stampin' Write marker and stamped the sentiment on vellum and embossed it with black powder. I used a couple of mini dimensionals on the back of the punched sentiment hoping they wouldn't be too obvious. You can still see them, but they're not too bad.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

  1. Your story of cutting your image from DSP rather than use white cardstock made me smile, as did the great texture on this lovely card. Thanks so much for joining us at Just Add Ink this week.
