Googly Ghouls

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

I don't usually make Halloween cards but I was inspired by the challenges at Cupcake Inspirations, Double Trouble, and Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Also, a new challenge at Shopping Our Stash!

The sketch challenge made me think of googly eyes, so I rotated it and offset the stamped images to keep that effect. I dug the eyes out of my stash and added them to the mummy, the monster, and the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

It's the Twitching Hour!

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the color challenge at the Paper Players, the sketch challenge at Try Stampin on Tuesday,  the Halloween challenge at SUO Challenges, and the challenge at Double Trouble.

I don't usually make Halloween cards but I bought a couple of stamp sets last year that were just too cute to resist! The Clever Cats set reminds me of my fur babies - I can totally imagine them squeezing into a box that's just too small!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Card of the Day - Celebration Tidings Halloween

Hello and welcome back! I missed posting yesterday for my personal challenge but I'm back at it today. I don't usually make cards for Halloween, but this stamp set was next on my list and I saw a Halloween challenge I could enter. Here's the card:

I used the Celebration Labels Dies to create the card base by cutting a standard base and tucking it inside the die with the folded edge above the die. I got this idea from Jennifer Cotton. The dies cut those little spiders perfectly!

I cut the white panel before stamping the spider webs so I could make sure they fit. I added the chevron ribbon, then popped up the sentiment label on top of that. I edged the sentiment with the Pumpkin Pie marker just to make it stand out a bit. It's hard to see in the photo, but I also added some Clear Wink of Stella to the spider webs and swirls.

I'm entering this card in the challenge at TGIF Challenges.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

WWYS 137 & CTD 464 - Trick or Treat!

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for the challenges at What Will You Stamp? and Color Throwdown

And here is today's card:

This was a pretty simple card - it would be good for a workshop or class. I used Sahara Sand (taupe) for the card base, and added layers of Basic Black and Very Vanilla, with a strip from the Spooky Night DSP. I added some background texture with a stamp from Spooky Cat stamped in Sahara Sand. The cats were punched from Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie and the faces were stamped in Whisper White Craft and Memento Tuxedo Black.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

Fab Friday 75 - Color Challenge

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for the color challenge at Fab Friday.

I don't usually send Halloween cards, but this one might just have to go in the mail to someone...

I started with a base of Very Vanilla cardstock, then added a layer of Bermuda Bay and a layer from the Happy Haunting DSP in the current Holiday Catalog. The jack-o'lanterns are from the "vintage" Fall Fest stamp set and were cut out with the matching Fun Fall Framelits. They were stamped in Tangelo Twist onto Tangelo Twist cardstock, with Basic Black faces. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes, stamped in Basic Black on Very Vanilla, with additional banners of Tangelo Twist and Bermuda Bay. I used the small Banner Punch to notch the ends of the banners before adding the Bermuda Bay taffeta ribbon bow.

That's all for today. I hope you like this card!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

PP#263 - Clean & Simple Fall Scene

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for the clean and simple fall challenge at The Paper Players

And here is my card:

As a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I rarely use other stamp sets, but this one is so cute! It's a Unity Stamp Co. set called "Hauntingly Sweet." I've had this in my stash for several years, and just haven't been able to part with it. Candy corn is my favorite Halloween candy, so this card "speaks" to me!

All of the other products on the card are Stampin' Up! Most are current, but the ribbon is "vintage" Basic Black taffeta.

I hope you like this card!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
