Paper Plunge 39 - Make It Mono!

Hello and welcome back! I've spent the last few days relaxing in paradise, aka Pentwater, Michigan. It's a lovely little town with a charming beach. A friend has a summer home there that she rents out, and she needed to get it ready for the season, so she asked me if I'd like to join her. I jumped at the chance! We took care of a few chores, but had time to do a bit of shopping and sun ourselves at the beach. The weather was perfect!

Unfortunately, you have to return to real life some time. We came back home today, and I realized I needed to make a card! My husband's cousin is getting married in September and tomorrow is her bridal shower. Lucky for me, this card is perfect for this week's challenge at The Paper Plunge. The invitation was white with purple printing and accents, so I used that as my inspiration for this card.

And here's a picture of the inside:

It's definitely not a quick and easy card, but I think the effort was well worth it. The punched flowers in the bouquet were a great way to use some smaller scraps, and the stems gave me a chance to use my fringe scissors, which have been languishing of late. You can't tell in the photo, but there are 3 layers of dimensionals underneath the flowers to hold them above the stems. I had to make a thick envelope on my envelope punch board to fit this card!

I hope you like it, and I hope Kat likes it!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
