And here's my entry:
My son is headed to a wedding this weekend and this card is for the newlyweds. I was inspired by their wedding invitation, which you can see part of in this picture:
With the shades of green in the invitation, it was perfect for this challenge. I built my card on a Wild Wasabi cardstock base. The main layer is Watercolor Paper stamped with the "vintage" Distressed Dots background stamp. I inked the stamp with Wild Wasabi and then randomly sponged on some Garden Green and Island Indigo. I stamped it onto the paper, then spritzed it with water to soften the background. The hearts from the Watercolor Words stamp set were stamped in Island Indigo onto Watercolor Paper and spritzed, then fussy cut. The Wild Wasabi ribbon was wrapped around the layer and tied in a knot and the hearts were attached with dimensionals. The "love" was cut from Island Indigo cardstock using the Expressions thinlits and attached with the mini stapler. A few sequins were added for a bit of bling.
I wish I were going to this wedding - I have a feeling it will be unique!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!

DeleteLove ,love your card!! The colors, the embellishments, stapling the word love and popping up the hearts for dimension!! Thanks for joining us at CYCI!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Laura! Stapling those words is so much easier than trying to glue them down, even with the fine-tip glue.
DeletePretty! Thanks for joining us this week at CYCI!
