Beautiful Leaves Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! I mentioned in my last post that I was behind on my cards this month. Here's another anniversary card (so many in October)!

This card was inspired by the challenge at Just Add Ink and the tic-tac-toe challenge at Paper Craft Crew (bottom row - die cuts, leaves, frames).

I love the colors in the inspiration photo so I decided to try some ink blending on the back of some vellum cardstock. I added an adhesive sheet to the back before die cutting the large leafy motif. The frame was cut using two Stitched Rectangles Dies and the vellum was attached to the back and trimmed before adhering it to the card front.

I had planned to make six of these cards but it was more labor intensive than I expected, so there are only two.

Have a great day, and happy stamping!

In Symmetry Anniversary

Hello and welcome back! I've definitely fallen off the grid for a bit - major family crisis last week really messed with me - and I'm super behind on my cards this month. These anniversary cards are going out tomorrow. I'm surprised at how many people got married in October!

I combined the challenges at Freshly Made Sketches and CAS Colours & Sketches to come up with this design. I rotated the sketch 90 degrees and made a horizontal card instead of a vertical one.

I used my Stamparatus to create the center stamped panel - each color of stamp was on a different plate. It makes assembly line stamping so much easier! I layered the stamped panel onto a piece of Old Olive cardstock to make it stand out a bit from the card base and popped the whole thing up with dimensionals. A little resin heart in the center of the flower finishes off this card.

I still have more anniversary cards to make this month but at least I'll be making a dent with these!

Have a great day, and happy stamping!

Goodbye & Good Luck!

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is another for my church friend who is moving to Denver. This card will be going to choir rehearsal so that everyone can sign it and send their own best wishes.

I wanted to make sure there was enough room for everyone to sign, so I made a slightly larger card than usual. This is from an old package of Large Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. This week's color challenge at the Paper Players was my inspiration.

My additional color was Old Olive so I would have something for the leaves!

The detailed sunflower was stamped with Pale Papaya and cut with the outline die, then the detailed die was cut from Pumpkin Pie and layered on top. An Early Espresso circle was added to the center with some Champagne Rhinestones. The leaves were stamped in Old Olive, then layered with the detailed die cuts.

I doubled up the Pale Papaya and white ribbons before tying them around the DSP and cardstock layers on the card front. The sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso and cut with a die from the Bloom Dies, then layered onto another Old Olive piece cut with the same die. That sentiment is from Greatest Greetings, a wonderful set from the 2016-2017 Annual Catalog.

This card is also entered in the Anything Goes challenge at Retro Rubber this week.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Berry Blessings Birthday

Hello and welcome back! I've got another birthday card today.

This card was inspired by the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and the sketch challenge at As You See It.

The Berry Delightful DSP was layered on coordinating cardstock and adhered to the card base. The berries and leaves were outlined, then filled in with the same ink color stamped off once. The sentiment was stamped with Versamark on vellum, then heat embossed with black embossing powder.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Mountain Air Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for a friend who is moving to Denver next week. Her birthday isn't until the end of the month, but I'll see her in church tomorrow and hand deliver it.

The design is from this week's challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

The diagonal strips are from the retired Wood Textures DSP and the mountain scene is from Mountain Air and colored with Stampin' Blends. I masked the mountains and used a blending brush with some Balmy Blue ink for the sky, then added the moon (stamped off with Smoky Slate). The trees behind the die cut circle are from the Majestic Mountain Dies and the sentiment is from Brushed Blooms.

This retired DSP and stamp set is perfect for a new baby. And it's always fun to pull old ribbon and embellishments out of my stash! I love these iridescent stars!

Welcome to the world, little Evelyn!

Card of the Day - Spiral Spins

Hello and welcome back! Life has really gotten in the way of my posting this week and I'm really behind in my cards this month. Lots of belated birthday cards going out this weekend! :)

I used the stamps from Spiral Spins and Lacy & Lovely to create the background, which was adhered to a layer of Mint Macaron cardstock, then embossed with the Polka Dot Basics embossing folder. I tied the ribbon around the embossed layer before adhering it to the card base.

The sentiment was die cut with a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies then attached with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals.

The design was inspired by the tic-tac-toe challenge at Retro Rubber Challenge Blog. The stamp sets are from 2014, and I used the top row of the board (one word sentiment/greens/circles).

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
