Love of Leaves Thoughts

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches and the challenge at Color Throwdown.

I used a card base of kraft paper, with layers of black and white. I brought in the sage green with the leaf and the copper with the stripes and the star. I felt it needed a little more of the kraft influence so I added the braided linen trim bow.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Here Comes Santa Paws!

Hello and welcome back! Here's another card for today:

My inspiration for this card came from the challenges at Christmas Card Throwdown, Freshly Made Sketches and the Paper Players.

The clean-and-simple challenge meshed perfectly with the sketch, and since I don't really have much in the way of Santa stamps, this image is just one of Santa's "friends"! I had some puff paint in my stash that I've never used, so I decided to try to "fluff up" some of the parts of the poodle. Note to self: add the paint to all areas before heating it; otherwise you might scorch it (see the puff ball on the hat - oops!).

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Christmas At Home With You

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the Tic Tac Toe Challenge (any shape die, wreath, gold foil/glitter) and the sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday.

This design is pretty self-explanatory. The door was stamped and die cut, and I added a bit of So Saffron behind the window cut-outs. The berries on the wreath were colored with the Dark Real Red Stampin' Blend. I used a handheld punch to make a notch in the fold to feed the ribbon through for the bow on the front.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping! Oh, and Happy Thanksgiving too!

How Much is That Kitty in the Window?

Hello and welcome back! Here's another card for today:

My main inspiration for this card was the upper left hand photo at Just Add Ink. Sometimes you just have to create a literal translation! I also used the sketch at Paper Craft Crew and the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I pulled a lot of products from my stash to create this card. Except for the cardstock and coloring tools, nothing is current!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Eden's Garden Hello

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This card was inspired by the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

I used the Eden Dies to cut the detailed strips, adding the sentiment to the bottom one, and then just cut a strip of an old DSP in Early Espresso. The focal point was stamped in Old Olive and fussy cut before popping it up on a circle of DSP from the Ever Eden special collection from 2021. I was happy to find some old In Color rhinestones to match the Soft Succulent cardstock.

This is the first Christmas card I've made this year, but there will be many more to come! I just love the sparkle that comes from the glimmer paper and the glitter dots.

Thanks a Latte!

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the "anything goes" challenge at Cupcake Inspirations, the "give thanks" challenge at Paper Players, and the color challenge at TGIF Challenges.

I'm headed to Indianapolis this weekend for On Stage Local and since I'll be staying with my SIL, I'm bringing her a small gift. This card will go with it.

I colored the coffee beans on the DSP with Stampin' Blends to go with the color challenge, but since I don't drink coffee, I didn't realize until I started coloring that I probably should have switched the colors. Oh well, it doesn't really matter, right?

I saw a tutorial on Pinterest for using this design to make 4 cards from one piece of 6 x 6 DSP so I thought I'd try it. It's really pretty easy and creates an unusual design.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Fireworks!

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the fireworks challenge at Inkspirational Challenge and the sketch at Paper Craft Crew.

I was lucky to have this DSP in my current paper stash and I pulled the colors from it to create the other elements in the sketch. The sentiment came from a Paper Pumpkin kit a couple of years ago that had fireworks in it, so it was the perfect choice! The iridescent rhinestones in some of the fireworks centers really pick up the light - they're practically glowing!

I've got a couple of anniversaries coming up, so I think this might be the perfect card for those.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Encircled in Friendship

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

While the sketch is a square card, I created mine as a standard A2 so that it would be easier to mail. I've used two different ribbons as the dividing line in the sketch, layering the 3 die-cuts on top of it.

This card could be used for lots of events, but I imagine it will go into my birthday card stash.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
