Country Flowers Sending Love

Hello and welcome back! I attended a team meeting today and needed a swap card for the raffle, so here's what I made:

This design was inspired by several challenges: Freshly Made Sketches, NBUS, Paper Craft Crew, & Tic Tac Toe Challenge (bottom row and diagonal top left to bottom right).

I got my pre-order a few weeks ago, but am just getting around to sorting through it and putting things away. Since everything was still out, it was easy to choose what to use, and since it was 1 am when I finally started working on this card, I wanted something not too complicated!

I started out using the sketch as inspiration, and knew I wanted flowers. The teapot from Country Flowers was stamped in Misty Moonlight on the matching cardstock and die cut. The flowers were colored in with Stampin' Blends and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. I used the Detailed Trio Punch to round two of the corners on the white layer and put the leaves underneath those corners to match the sketch. A couple of Smoky Slate pearls for bling and it's done!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Strong at Heart Duo

Hello and welcome back! I'm catching up so I've got two more cards for you today. Here's the first one:

This design was inspired by the sketch challenge at Paper Craft Crew.

And here's the second card:

This one was inspired by the sketch at Try Stampin on Tuesday.

For the get well card, I trimmed a panel of DSP diagonally to get the corners for the sketch, then decided to use the center piece for the anniversary card. With the addition of the washi tape, it looks pretty close to the TSOT sketch, although I did have to change it to landscape orientation.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Decorative Borders Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the challenges at Color Throwdown, Freshly Made Sketches, Just Add Ink, and Paper Craft Crew.

Clean and simple cards are difficult for me - I'm a "how many layers is too many?" kind of stamper! I've had this set since last year's OnStage gathering and hadn't inked it up yet. I used my Stamparatus to line up the floral sprays in the corner so they'd be even, added the sentiment in the center, and then colored in the flowers and leaves using the color challenge colors. I had to add a little bling - even a CAS card needs bling! - and the little diamonds at the ends of the floral sprays were the perfect size for the epoxy shapes I had in my stash.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Have a Birthday Brew!

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

I'm entering this card in several challenges this week: Paper Craft Crew, Double Trouble Challenge, TGIF Challenge, Paper Players, and Sunday Stamps Challenge. Several challenges were for masculine cards and the others I used for color inspiration and the sketch.

The "vintage" Bubbles & Fizz DSP had all three of the colors I needed but there were some others mixed in. I pulled two patterns with Calypso Coral and Lemon Lime Twist and backed them with a layer of Smoky Slate before adding them to the card base. I also added a few Glitter Epoxy Shapes to look like bubbles.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Pretty Kitty Pajama Inspiration

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This card was created for the challenges at Paper Craft Crew and Shopping Our Stash.

The SOS challenge asked us to use our favorite pajamas as inspiration for our project. Here's my jammies!

I've had this stamp set since it came out several years ago, but I don't think it's ever seen ink. I love these little kitties! Fussy cutting is not my favorite technique but I was surprised at how quickly these worked out. I just added a bit of coloring with some Stampin' Write and Stampin' Blends markers.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

P.S. - I finally tested negative for COVID today - hallelujah!

Festive Flurry Speed Challenge

Hello and welcome back! Here's my third card for today:

This design was inspired by the challenges at As You See It, Christmas Card Throwdown, and Paper Craft Crew.

My time for the speed challenge was 8 minutes, 55 seconds. I think that's pretty good considering I did some heat embossing, die-cutting, and had to tie a bow! And when the rhinestones and dimensionals didn't want to cooperate, I thought I'd blow through my limit. But I got it done with a minute to spare!

For the tic tac toe challenge, I used the left column and the center row.

Darn it, I forgot to use my embossing buddy!

That's it for today - got to get to bed for an early day at church tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

How Much is That Kitty in the Window?

Hello and welcome back! Here's another card for today:

My main inspiration for this card was the upper left hand photo at Just Add Ink. Sometimes you just have to create a literal translation! I also used the sketch at Paper Craft Crew and the color challenge at Hand Stamped Sentiments.

I pulled a lot of products from my stash to create this card. Except for the cardstock and coloring tools, nothing is current!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Fireworks!

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the fireworks challenge at Inkspirational Challenge and the sketch at Paper Craft Crew.

I was lucky to have this DSP in my current paper stash and I pulled the colors from it to create the other elements in the sketch. The sentiment came from a Paper Pumpkin kit a couple of years ago that had fireworks in it, so it was the perfect choice! The iridescent rhinestones in some of the fireworks centers really pick up the light - they're practically glowing!

I've got a couple of anniversaries coming up, so I think this might be the perfect card for those.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
