Caroling Mice

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

I'm entering this in the challenges at Cupcake Inspirations and Double Trouble.

I needed a card for my church choir director and this is the perfect stamp set for that! I love these cute singing mice! I stamped the mice and die-cut them using one of the Celebration Labels dies. The lamppost was fussy cut and added. I stamped a couple of the musical notes after doing all of my coloring and ended up with a nasty halo, so I added the tree to cover it up. There are no mistakes in stamping, only opportunities for embellishment and additional elements!

I used a dot of the puff paint on the hat pompoms, but it didn't puff up the way I'd hoped. And you can sort of see the Wink of Stella on the lamppost.

Lots of coloring calls for lots of markers! I think I hit most of the rainbow here.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Hello and welcome back! Here is my 4th card for today!

This card is inspired by the challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches. I used the sketch from Challenge #474. I'm also entering it in the "holly & ivy" challenge at Shopping Our Stash.

I have three friends named Holly who have December birthdays, so why not make a card with holly on it? 😊

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Shiny Snowflakes

Hello and welcome back! Here's my third card for today:

This card is for the sketch challenge at Atlantic Hearts and it's my second entry for the Christmas Card Throwdown.

This sketch is perfect for showing off this gorgeous iridescent paper! And the glittery ribbon is a wonderful complement as well. A very simple card with lots of impact!

I was torn about the ribbon so I made a few using this iridescent ribbon from last year.

Which one do you like better?

This Lights Aglow Suite in the mini catalog has so many beautiful products that are perfect for this color challenge. I especially love the dies that create the cut-out peekaboo images.

Celebrate With Tea

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the challenges at Just Add Ink, TGIFC, and Tic Tac Toe Challenges.

I found the JAI color combination to be a bit unusual, but decided to run with it anyway! I converted the TGIFC sketch into a mini slimline to meet the Tic Tac Toe challenge, along with creating a card for a celebration and including an envelope (right-hand column)

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Festive Flurry Speed Challenge

Hello and welcome back! Here's my third card for today:

This design was inspired by the challenges at As You See It, Christmas Card Throwdown, and Paper Craft Crew.

My time for the speed challenge was 8 minutes, 55 seconds. I think that's pretty good considering I did some heat embossing, die-cutting, and had to tie a bow! And when the rhinestones and dimensionals didn't want to cooperate, I thought I'd blow through my limit. But I got it done with a minute to spare!

For the tic tac toe challenge, I used the left column and the center row.

Darn it, I forgot to use my embossing buddy!

That's it for today - got to get to bed for an early day at church tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Winter Greenery

Hello and welcome back! Here's another card for today:

This design was inspired by the challenges at Color Throwdown and Freshly Made Sketches.

I created this as a birthday card but it could just as easily be a Christmas card if you change the sentiment. The pine branches were cut from the large die in Christmas Pinecones and the holly leaves were fussy cut. I stamped a couple of pine branches on the white card before embossing it with the Softly Falling embossing folder. There is a bit of Distressed Gold Specialty Paper at the bottom but it didn't photograph very well. It has a lovely shine to it in person.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Punch Pals

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the challenges at CAS Colours & Sketches, Hand Stamped Sentiments, and Try Stampin on Tuesday.

This stamp set is a blast from the past - it's one of the first ones I ever purchased from Stampin' Up, long before I became a demonstrator. I also pulled out some old enamel shapes to get that Crushed Curry star for the top of my tree! Since one of the challenges here is a color challenge, I couldn't color in the tree or the holly leaves or the snowman's nose, but I kind of like the simplicity of this.

I finally got my tree up yesterday. Do you think there's too much buffalo plaid? 😏

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Gingerbread & Peppermint

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the challenges at Cupcake Inspirations, Retro Rubber (stamp set from 2021), and Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.

Somehow when I was designing this card, I missed the "brown" part of the Cupcake challenge. But the kraft is brown, so I'll let it go. At least I matched the sketch!

I love the detail of these gingerbread frosting dies. I'd probably never use them if I didn't have adhesive sheets because they are tricky to adhere!

I added a little color to the center of the snowflake with one of the Gingerbread & Peppermint Acrylic Shapes. I was going to add a few more, but they are so small and challenging to work with. After I added the one, I realized I could have used red rhinestones instead. Well, if I make more of these, that's what I'll do!

Speaking of gingerbread, one of my favorite holiday traditions is getting together with some friends from church to decorate gingerbread houses. We met a few weeks ago and this is what I made this year.

I never really know what I'm going to do until I get there, but I did buy the pretzels to make a log cabin. This is the first time I've completely frosted the roof. It's always interesting to see how long it takes before pieces start falling off. We never eat them (it's hot-glued together) and at least through the holiday season I'll used Tombow glue to put pieces back on if they come off. I'm usually tired of looking at it by around St. Patrick's Day! Here are more views of the back and sides.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
