Card of the Day - Petal Promenade Birthday

Hello and welcome back! I just noticed as I opened up Blogger that this is my 200th post! Although I haven't really been consistent, it's hard to believe that I've posted that many times!

Today's card uses some retired and some current products. I've got so much in my stash I should probably stop acquiring more stuff, but it's hard when the products are gorgeous! Here's today's card:

I've been making lots of cards with Whisper White cardstock bases lately, so I thought it was time to change it up a bit. Also, I'm just about out of Whisper White envelopes!

This card base is Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, with a layer of Mossy Meadow and one of the retired Petal Promenade DSP. I added a piece of embossed vellum on top of that and then the sentiment with a die cut layered underneath. A couple of gems and the card is complete!

The embossing on the vellum is a little easier to see in this photo. I love the softening effect of a vellum layer even more when it is embossed.

This card was inspired by the tic-tac-toe challenge at the Paper Players (diagonal from bottom left to upper right) and the die-cutting and punching challenge at SUO Challenges.

Also, as part of my accountability for #imbringingbirthdaysback this year, as of August 31, I've sent out 324 cards, 174 of which were birthday cards. I'm really impressed with my ability to stick to my plan this year! Last year I fell off the wagon by mid-February!

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
