Blooming Birthday

This design was inspired by the sketch challenge at Just Add Ink.

I was surprised at how well the design of this die and embossing folder set matched the sketch. I tried to stick to a fall color scheme, since I'm sending this to a friend who turns 60 on October 1.

Card of the Day - Art in Bloom

Hello and welcome back! I've got another birthday card for you today.

I recently received the Art in Bloom bundle so I thought it was time to ink it up and see what I could do with it. I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight, then stamped the three flowers on Basic White and used the hybrid embossing folder with the die to cut them out. They are layered on the embossed card in the same spots they appear there. I stamped and die-cut a few leaves and tucked them in among the flowers. The sentiment die is from the same set but I shortened it a bit to fit. Added the bow in the center and the card is done!
