Happiness Abounds Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

I used the theme challenge at SUO Challenges, the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches, and the color challenge at Sunday Stamps as inspiration for this card.

For the flowers, I created a wash on watercolor paper with Gorgeous Grape, and for the leaves I used Old Olive. Once the paper was dry, I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and die cut them. The front panel is dry embossed and layered onto a Calypso Coral background. I added a few of the Iridescent Basic Pearls for some bling.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Sending Smiles

Hello and welcome back! According to my Sandra Boynton "Every Day's a Fabulous Holiday" calendar, today is Hot Air Balloon Day. So naturally, today's card features a hot air balloon!

I used the challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday for inspiration - the sketch for the design and the optional pattern mixing. I also entered the card at Double Trouble Challenges.

Once again, this card went together pretty easily. The DSP coordinated with the stamp set and I used the coordinating die set to cut the balloon. Layering Circles and Nested Labels completed the design, with a few rhinestones added for bling!

I'm hoping to make cards for a few more of those "fabulous" holidays, but a couple of them might be tricky. I might have to skip "National Earl Day"!

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Nature's Prints Wedding

Hello and welcome back! It's been way too long since I've posted anything - and I haven't been sending cards out either. I'm sure my friends and family are thinking their cards got lost in the mail, when the truth is, I feel like I've lost my mojo. Well, I had to make a card this week because my cousin's daughter is getting married on Sunday! When all else fails, use the catalog for inspiration! Here's what I made:

As you can see in the photo below, the new Nature's Prints stamp set and Pretty Prints DSP are almost a perfect match to the wedding invitation! I try to match invitations whenever I can.

The design is from the catalog - I just changed up the colors and added the embossed panel.

And lucky for me, this card happens to fit a couple of challenges this week! I'm entering the challenges at Tic Tac Toe Challenges (center column - floral-ish, free, embellishments) and Try Stampin' on Tuesday (die cutting, not the sketch).

I'm looking forward to hanging out with my cousins this weekend.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Ornate Symmetry Birthday

Hello and welcome back! Here's today's card:

This design was inspired by the color challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches and the challenge at Freshly Made Sketches.

The Pool Party card base is embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. I added a Cherry Cobbler frame die cut from Ornate Layers and the stamped piece was die cut using the Stitched Rectangles Dies. It's hard to see, but there are Clear Epoxy Essentials added to the flower petals.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!

Forever Blossoms Wedding

Hello and welcome back! Today's card is for a friend who got married this weekend.

I used the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and the colors at CAS Colours & Sketches for inspiration.

The blossoms were colored with Stampin' Blends and I used the Color Lifter to pull a bit out of the flowers because I felt like the pink was a little too bright.

Thanks for stopping by, and happy stamping!
